Aussie SWAT was born on the 20th of May 2017 after our ordeal of experiencing tropical cyclone Debbie in Airlie Beach Queensland.

Living in a rural area between rainforest and beach, one can only imagine the heat and humidity in wet season unless they've actually lived in the tropics.  It's quite normal to shower at least 3 times daily if you're not lucky enough to spend your days with air-conditioning.  Directly after TC Debbie hit, our beautiful town had no electricity for almost two weeks, no running tap water, and the sound of generators was vibrating through our ears for weeks. The humidity, the heat, the smell in the air and the insects were insatiable and I was on a mission.  

As a natural health care practitioner for over 26yrs, I had always delved in homemade natural concoctions combining Grandma's old recipes with new age ideas & scientific findings and shared many creations with family & friends.  This time I was on a mission to make something along the lines of "refreshing, faintly fragranced, and may act as a deterrent for bugs and flying critters as a bonus". That's when I formulated my first bottle of formally named "Fresh Aussie Swat Spray".

With the assistance of qualified cosmetic formulators, it turned out to be a unisex natural body mist with a great aroma.  It seems to last longer when sprayed onto fabric and clothing but feels great on the skin too.  It's light and not oily, almost delivering a slight toning and drying effect on the skin. It's lightly fragranced with a fresh bouquet of natural essential oils, some of which are known to have insect deterring properties in nature. I then shortened the name to fit a label and simplified it to "Aussie SWAT".

Aussie SWAT does not make any medical claims and is not labelled as an "insect repellent".  It was designed to help us feel fresh and dry, and the aroma was found to increase the distance between buzzing critters and our skin.  After 3 years of giving bottles to family, friends and clients around the Whitsundays, we've found that it's become a favourite among many.  So here I introduce you to my proudly Australian made and owned Aussie SWAT body products.
